Our Mission

The Eau Claire Area School District (ECASD) has cut all funding for field trips in the upcoming budget. This means that children in the district will not be going on the curriculum-based field trips for which the school district has previously paid. Our group is launching a fundraiser beginning August 15, 2009. The goal is to raise approximately $70,000 that will be given to the ECASD for funding those field trips that would otherwise be eliminated this year. By achieving our goal, we will support local businesses, stimulate young minds and reinvest in the future of our community.

Fifth graders in Eau Claire got a big gift from a local parents organization. The Eau Claire United PTA/PTO presented a check for more than $6,000 to the school board Monday night. The money is for a fifth grade field trip to Beaver Creek Reserve.

The Eau Claire Area School District recently had to cut some field trips that had been planned for the 2009-2010 school year. So members of the PTA began planning a district-wide fundraiser so the students can still go on those trips.

Monday night they also passed around a donation jar to the board members and audience to continue their fundraising efforts. So far the group has raised more than $12,000 for the field trips.
